An experiment in time-lapsed video
Our dog Obie has been pulling items out of our kitchen cupboards lately. The past two nights it has looked like a burglar ransacked the kitchen looking for dinner scraps. Obie goes through fits like this every 6 months or so where he seems to randomly try out some new psychosis for a few weeks. After the few weeks he is back to his normal self while we are gone. This time his behavior is really annoying since it takes about 45 minutes to clean up after his rampage and he broke some expensive cookware.
I’m curious to see what makes him snap like this. I decided to setup my MacBook Pro on the kitchen table (a safe zone) to do some time-lapsed video of what the kitchen looks like through the day. I’m using Gawker (found via a LifeHacker article) to record from the built-in iSight camera on my laptop. The software was really easy to setup. Hopefully, it catches something interesting.
